Hi, all of a sudden the Thunderbird icon started showing up where the MS Word icon should be. I do have Thunderbird installed but the icon never showed up like this before. Any thoughts anyone please.

    Thanks

Hi Bimmer Guy, more info please. Would you please take the time to fill in your "System Details" under UserCP as this will help others to help you. Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of the page and 'Save' before closing.
You don't mention what OS you are using and what MS Word year. Neil.

    Sorry I omitted some info.
    xp
    Office 2010
I keep all of my documents saved in Word in My Documents folder. All of a sudden as I pointed out a few of those word doc. now have the Thunderbird icon instead of the Word icon. They were save made in word. I just don't get how Thunderbird got involved.

Hold down the shift key and right click on a doc with the Thunderbird icon, then left click on Open with. Select Word in the list of programs and put a checkmark at bottom next to Always use...

    Thanks Ton T,

Yes, that does open the Word docs. Thanks. It completely stumps me why Thunderbird is involved here.
