While in compose/write window, I'd like to make "Contacts" pane little bit more narrow. I can do this, dragging pane divider to the left, using my mouse, but it only works for current session. When I open "Compose" window again, the divider is back in its old position.
Is it any trick/script to make "Contacts" pane size permanent?
    Thank you.

Off hand, I don't know. I think that it is an all or none situation. I uncheck View|Contact Sidebar and have the entire page for writing the message.
I looked at the Config. editor and I came up with nothing in regard to contact and/or sidebar. I must be one of those things. I, personally, do fine with or without the contact sidebar, which gets to be patently ridiculous if you add the e-mail address.
I, also, checked Seamonkey1.1.3 which has the Sidebar off. It can be resized, and will come back in the new selected size. I would expect that NS7.2 was the same way.

Someone posted "Chrome" script before, which allowed me to resize "Attachments" pane, and it worked nicely.
Then, I found this "Maximize Message Pane" add-on, which allows me to collapse any pane, but not to resize.

If all you need is to get a larger message size, and collapse Contacts, there is no need for an extention, as TB is perfectly capable to do the job. Check my earlier reply. Some people have wanted to collapse the Attachment "pane ", but it is nothing much (at least for me, who gets one attachment at a time).
I am having a hard time understanding this issue, but, as I always said what is no problem to me, may be a problem for someone else, especially, under certain set ups.
