Hi All, ............ Recently I added a Linux OS to my computer in a Dual Boot configuration which gave me Windows 7 on one partition and Ubuntu on another. I then added Thunderbird to Ubuntu which gave me TB on each system. Unfortunately all my incoming mail goes to Ubuntu and I would prefer that it go to Windows.

Is it possible to configure my computer so that the incoming mail ends up in Windows? Or, should I simply remove TB from Ubuntu Which I'm willing to do?

I would remove Thunderbird from Ubuntu as you have W7 as your main OS? Neil.

Neil, ................ Thank you for the quick reply. Installing Ubuntu gives me the opportunity to become familiar with a new operating system which was my primary intention. For the present, I'll leave Ubuntu on the computer and investigate the new system further. I would still welcome any other advice from those more familiar with the Linux systems.

Look in the ACCOUNT settings for an option to "leave mail on server." Then both OS's will get the same mail.

Steve, ............... Now why didn't I think of that? Thank you fo your reply. This response is being written in Thunderbird wirh Ubuntu. I sent a test message and both Thunderbird and Ubuntu carried the messsage. So I have to say that you solved my problem. Now to get a larger font will be one of my priorities.

You can also setup Thunderbird to use the same profile for both operating systems.
