Ok so my bro has Lilo as his bootloader (linux put it there)

if he makes a win2k recovery disks or whatever, put them aside, boot into DOS from a win98 disk i suppose (that works for me) and does fdisk /mbr, reboot, and he'll get the message "NT loaded.. something something" and put in the first win2k recov. disk, and goes from there, the NT loaded will be the bootloader from there on out? and no more lilo ****? Hope that made sense if not, let me know and i'll label it as steps.

Scroll that down to the fix mbr section and pay close attention to their warnings.

Either method you use carries the same danger re: virus so scan 'er first.
