Since repairing Windows and replacing IE6, IE8 has started displaying the above message on every site I visit.

How can I stop that happening?

Do you have Flash installed? Can you give us the website or is it all web sites?

Yes, Flash is installed. No, it wasn't all sites, but quite a few.

I have just clicked on the option to run it on all websites, and that seems to have fixed the problem.

Is that a good thing or not?

I have never had a problem with it. Of course I keep it updated as well as all the other programs that I have including Windows.
Seeing how as you have replace IE 6 with IE 8, I am assuming that you are not using Windows 7.

Why don't you go to User CP near the top left of this page and fill out your System Specs. You can look at MY SYSTEM in my window and get an idea of what to put in there. Makes it easier than trying to guess what somebody is running on their PC.

Ok MrBill, that's done. I had the system specs filled in, but hadn't elected to display them.

    Thanks.

There are several websites that use Flash. Especially if you play some of their games. I play poker on Face Book and it requires Flash. I have never had a problem with it like I said earlier. Just keep it updated.
