You have asked Firefox to to connect securely to www.windowsbbs.com (and most others but not all) but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will prevent trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

I get the error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer

I tried to optamize Windows 10 using the on site guide. When I got to the autoruns section I deleted more than I should have. On reboot the computer would not boot. I tried every option available (pressing ESC key on bootup) but none worked. I reinstalled win 10 and the apps the installation removed. I can't even search for anything without getting a untrusted connection. I tried a virus scan but it was clean, I don't know what to try now.

Is it only with Firefox? Have you tried Chrome or IE?

Edge works ok. I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled but still getting same results. But firefox works fine on this computer. Same version,. Why won't it work in win 10 now?

In IE I typed in this site in the address bar. What shows in the address bar is This connection is untrusted

Any connection to the problem I'm having?

I scanned for malware first thing this morning before I posted using Bitdefender and Malwarebytes. Both said I was clean. Your link above gave me some good reading. I had to turn off the 'scan ssl' setting in Bitdefender. I restarted the computer and opened FF and all seems to be good now. Thanks a bunch Bill.
