I have an extra 80G drive and two drives installed . Is there a way I can have that third drive available on my system?

Does it allow for a third HD drive?

Depends on what else you have in that puppy and whether or not you have a Raid or SCSI controller. if you opt for no CDRom and have a regular IDE setup (primary and secondary) you can have 4 if you want. Raid you could have 8, SCSI - go for it - how big is your power supply.

I.m not sure since I'mnot sure what a RAID system is. I know it is not SCSI -- I have HD=Master--CDRom Slave -- HD master -- CDRW slave and that's it. Assuming I have adequate power, how would I hook this up

Would I be able to use that drive as an external thru USP2 in any way.

If you have USB2 on your system they make kits that lets you put a IDE drive in an external case so you can run off of USB2. Here is just one place that sells them.

You can add another controller card that will permit you to run 2-4 additional internal IDE devices. Believe your external question was already answered and Computer Geeks is a great place to buy from.

    ;)
