I just got my new Windows 10 laptop running. I see a thin blue line behind (when the taskbar is at the bottom, it is below) the icons in the system tray. I believe it is to indicate which programs are actually running.

I find it distracting. Is there a way to disable it? I didn't see anything in the new personalization menu.

That is what the thin blue bar means. That program is open.

Great. Is there a way to disable it?

http://www.tenforums.com/general-discussion/9816-how-get-rid-line-under-taskbar-icons-4.html Look at post # 34. These lines were also there on 8 and 8.1 if I am not mistaken. I haven't noticed them till you mentioned them.

I guess that now I am looking at them, it makes it easy to tell which one of the programs on the task bar is open and which ones are not.

Another one said "I lowered my monitor refresh rate from 75Hz to 60 Hz and the lines disappeared. "
