    Help Please........
My Internet keeps delaying after I go to a certain amount of pages. Like say if I look at 2 different pages then try a 3rd, it delays for a bout a min. and a 1/2. I run a 750mhz processor, 256RAM, and using internet explorer 6.0 in windows98.
One othe thing, when I first boot the internet up I get the message box "work offline or try again ", like it's not connected. I have DSL for a connection with no other running modem. Any ideas out there? And how can I remove IE 6.0? i go to add/remove and there's no uninstall. just repair, add, and some other mess. Thanks to anyone who can help me with this crud....

    Hi rev_son
Do you use Yahoo! Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, GoZilla or the like? You may want to disable/uninstall any third-party software* or browser add-ons that may interfere with your Internet connection.

Go to your desktop. Right-click on the Internet Explorer Icon and then select "Properties."
After the "Internet Properties" window has opened, click on the "Connections" tab.
In the "Dial-up Settings" box, make sure that "Never dial a connection" is checked.
Click "OK" at the bottom of the window when finished.

    Perhaps some help as well?

    *edit*
Forgot to mention....from what I've been reading, a lot of DSL users do get the "work offline/try again" bug. There may be 2 things you can do: (a) under tools, options, connections --- turn off automatic detect settings and automatic configuration and (b) run internet connection wizard again.
