    Hi all,
I think this will be a fun one to fix...
Im trying to install a copy of "PIXELA Image Mixer ver1.0" for a Sony held held cam on this PC.
When i insert the CD it trys to auto run but throws up the message

    "INSTALL "
    "The enviroment is incorrect "...

I then went to the install.exe (actrually called setup.exe) and tryed to run it from there (skiping the auto run) but the same erorr came up????
I then tryed it in a different computer (same OS BUT) and the auto run worked and it installed on that PC???

    ANY IDEAS???
IVe also waked a win98 cd in this computer to see if that could auto run and that worked fine??

    Please help me..

    Regards
    Redghan

My experience with this problem led to an install of a 2nd ( and older ) regular CDROM. MY CDR RW was giving me the same error.

The install would also work fine when using the CDROM of the other machine over the Network.

Have you tried copying the CD to your hard drive and running setup.exe from there?

If it does not work in one but does in the other I would suggest that. But it was no problem for me as I have about 6 six of them sitting here doing nothing.

Good Idea. But I tried that also and it would not copy properly from the CD RW but would from the reg CDROM.

In fact, thinking that it might be a bad CD I bought a new one and still had the same problem.
