Where did you see this message - in Event Viewer?

Is this a laptop or a desktop?

It is indicative of a potential problem with your hard drive - the onboard controller and I would recommend that you make a backup of your important data on the drive if you do not have one and keep it current.

Check that the data (ribbon cable) and power connector cables are not loose and if possible substitute the data cable for a known good cable.

Run a check on the drive using the manufacturer's disk diagnostic software .....

    Disk Diagnostic Software ....

    ExcelStore

    Hitachi/IBM

    Samsung

    Seagate, Maxtor, Quantum

    Western Digital

A long shot would be to reinstall/update the chipset drivers, which would include the drivers for the motherboard controller.
