    is any one getting this one. I got it on fresh in stall. with first searh and download at microsoft web site for ie7 and other downloads from them.
    xp pro sp2, comcast cable

    any help out there?

    Are you attempting to say that when within IE you click on Tools->Windows Updates you're getting that error message?

    from microsoft.com, goes to next page and states if doesn't start after 30 seconds click here then this message comes up on page:
