The CD-Rom Icon hidden in WinXP !!!!!!!

    Hello,

    suddenly my CD-Rom Icon was Hidden in WInXP ... i try to restart the system ...

    Not really enough info... But if you simply lost a desktop shortcut to your cdrom, then double click on my computer, right click on the cd drive and select create shortcut.
    If it's worse than that then go to start|help and support| undo changes with system restore, and select a restore date shortly before you lost the CD icon.

    Open Control Panel, click on Appearance and Themes, then on Taskbar and Start Menu, and make sure "Hide Inactive Icons" is not checked.
