The CD (E) drive is read only- I cant write to it

    After removing an unwanted program, I found that the CD E:drive had become
    "read only ". Trying to access it from "My documents> Edit>copy to folder " or
    directly from "My computer>CD Drive (E) > Edit > copy to folder" results in a pane stating that " E:\ is not accessible" "Incorrect function ".
    Is there a way of restoring the "write " facility to this drive ?
