I have Windows XP on my computer. On a web page when I go to View/Text Size, I always make sure it is set to Largest, but the text size is still too small for me. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

You should try a diferent browser, e.g. mozilla, or if your disk is too small, firefox. I've included an example. Text can be made larger that this, too.

In Internet Explorer click Tools then Internet Options. Under the General tab click the Accessibility button at the bottom right. Check the box for Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages. Click OK > Apply > OK.

Download EasyRead. It's an IE add-on, and it adds a + and - button to your toolbar for zooming in and out. Also shortcut CTRL- + and - works (hope it is this software, I don't have my computer with me and I used to have more such tools, so I am not sure if I remember correctly, if not, i'll give you the right name on monday).

Everyone should have at least two browsers (there's no limit to the number of browsers you can have open at once).

Very true. I tried Firefox but switched to Opera. It's easier on my systems and customizable to the way I want it. I like the magnification feature, fit to page plus the font settings. I can set it so my poor eyesight has no problems viewing sites.

What about some feedback? - you are getting a lot of peoples backs up with your lack of response - or thanks on your various threads. We are more than willing to help, but posting to you is like talking to a black hole - everything goes in & nothing comes out.

You will soon find that your posts are ignored - this BBS operates on two way traffic and if you don't understand what that means it is simply this ....

    You post a query.

    We respond

You respond indicating if the advice/information was/was not helpful - thanks are a bonus/common courtesy.

    Think on it.

    Hi, 427.

Here's a handy link for you.

I agree with Pete. Relationships among people often thrive when there is give and take. People who routinely take without giving back often find themselves ignored. For example, other Windows BBS users might use the "Add 427 to Your Ignore List" option.

I'm sorry, Pete. I expect Windows BBS forum moderators and the administrator (Arie) cannot use the Ignore List and still do their jobs effectively but I think the rest of us can.

EDIT: 427, I apologize. I had provided a direct link to the "Add 427 to Your Ignore List" option. I was a bit harsh. I removed the link after reading Pete's post below and thinking a little more about it. I wish to maintain the friendly, helpful nature of Windows BBS. Publicly facilitating ignorance is counterproductive in that regard.

You are right mailman - it would be inappropriate for Moderators to ignore any poster for whatever reason and I would hope that WindowsBBS Team Members would take the same view.

Hi 427, have you got a wheel mouse? If you have it's very easy to hold Ctrl and turn the wheel forward or back to increase or decrease text size.Neil.:D

Pete and Mailman. Isn't it a little unreasonable to expect a reply within 24 hours of posting. I agree with your sentiment wholeheartedly but that is wee bit hasty. I must admit that, for myself, I tend to leave the help to others when someone signs in under "newbie" - they are often never heard from again. It is certainly not an ego problem, but it is good to hear if your idea has been succesful
P.S. As it happens, it is now three days. Methinks he has left the building.
