I am in the process of building a computer I think I have a bad motherboard but I'm not sure, how can I fiqure out if it works? I dont know if its that or my video card because I get no picture on my monitor, and everything else is working.
    Thanks

What indication do you have that everything else is working?

What brand and model board do you have?

    Please list other hardware.

My advice is to place a boot disk into the A drive, disconnect everything from the main board except video and power, turn it on and see what happens. If still no video, you should then change video card and try again. If you have more than one memory stick, try them one at a time. Also, be sure they are the correct type and are fully seated.

If all other components are good still other possibilities:
    bad board
    improperly-mounted board--grounding
    bad processor
    bad power supply

It is difficult to impossible to troubleshoot this problem without spare, known-good parts.
