For about three weeks now my computer will only let me log in on a temporary file & any changes i make are lost when i log off. It says to contact my local network administrator if the problem persists, but what is this?

Hi mitchellmhm - Welcome to the Board :)

We could do with a few more details, please.

Are you saying that you can access the PC normally but cannot save your work

    or

You can access the PC normally but you cannot make any system changes like installing software, etc. If ths is the case it sounds as if you have 'lost' your administrative rights. Home or Pro?

I'm a home user. What happens is, when i turn the computer on, it says something about 'a corrupt local file' Then when i log in, anything i download is lost when i switch of the computer? Could this have anything to do with me turning off the computer without logging off & turning off on the screen first? because it wouldn't let me so i just did it at the socket.
