I am getting intermittent crashes from tcpip.sys with the following results displayed

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    STOP 0x000000D1
    (0X0000000C, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0XF8FE1C05)

    tcpip.sys - address F8FE1C05 base at F8FD5000, datestamp 3d6de222

This all appears on a screen from where I can only turn the computer off (BAOD) I have checked the Microsoft site for this error with the normal results, that the problem does not exist according to Microsoft.

I am running XP Pro with all of the latest security updates plus XP service pack 1.

My Firewall is Outpost Personal Firewall, I also have the XP firewall running as well.

This fault is intermittent it can happen twice in a session, approx 1 hour on line or I can have weeks where I have no crashes at all.

    Any guidance would be appreciated

    Paul

A recent XP hotfix probably conflicts with your Outpost firewall or another network device/driver.

If you know when it started happening, you may be able to determine which hotfix or just uninstall Outpost and see if the crashes stop.
