I am getting random crashes when connected to the internet the message displayed on the blue screen is:

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x0000000C,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xF9349C05)

    TCPIP.SYS - Address F9349c05 base at F933D000, DateStamp 3d6de222

I have searched Microsoft's Knowledge Base but unable to find anything.

The only common thing I could find was that on each occasion I was using Google to search for pages or it was running in the background on another page but this may be a coincidence.

No I am not running WRQ AtGuard firewall, but I am running "Agnitum Outpost Firewall" (free version) also my virus checker is McAfee Professional Edition V7.02.6.

I did try the Pro version (evaluation) of Outpost but decided that I would stick with the free version, thinking about it my problems started after I had un-installed the pro version and put the free version back.

I contacted Agnitium but they insist that they could NOT be the cause.

I can not think what else could be causing the TCPIP.SYS crashes.

If you don't have SP1, try installing it. If you already have it, try applying it again.

Yes I have SP1, there is no proplem with this as it is a fresh install (machine formated and rebuilt about a month ago) and I do not want to put SP1 over the top, also I would need to put all of the recent updates back on.

Have you checked thru your event logs for details?

You might want to try sfc /scannow just in case you have a scrunged up system file.

Or if it is new behavior, a restore point from before the problem started.

Other than that and without more information, afraid I'm stuck.

I guess you found this in M$ KB, but it hardly seems relevant?
