I signed on with SBC Yahoo DSL service. The modem kit arrived before the service was turned on. Since my network card was disabled, I downloaded and installed its drivers and turned it back on.

The error "TCP/IP network transport is not installed" appeared each time the PC was rebooted. And I was unable to use my Netzero dial-up service with this error. When I used the system restore feature to go back to the old condition before the network card was enabled, the error disappeared when the PC booted up. I was again able to use my dial-up service.

What is wrong and how can I fix this problem? Thank you very much in advance for all the pointers.

Do you have TCP enabled (configured) in the network settings ?

Are you still getting this error ?
