    I was trying to re-install T'bird because of some inconsistent, and strange behavior. So, I UN-installed it completely, even ran a registry cleaner, but still, when I install it, and launch it, it says "it's already running "!:mad: I looked thru the list of Services to try and shut it down that way, cuz there was no T'bird App running, but there was nothing that I saw that even looked like T'bird.

    I would like to import that mail into Windows Live, but I can't until I get this fixed.:mad::mad:

    AARGH!:mad::mad:

    Broni,

    I believe I covered that...

    I looked thru the list of Services to try and shut it down that way, cuz there was no T'bird App running, but there was nothing that I saw that even looked like T'bird.

    Pardoomwarh...That's where I meant, but the answer would still be the same. However, I've resolved that issue, which I still don't understand the answer. I had CUT (not copied the randomly-named folder in the Profile folder), and pasted it in a separate/safe partition so I could place it back where it belongs like I usually do when I'm re-installing T'bird. Usually, when you re-install it, it creates it's own such folder, then I copy the contents of previous folder into the 1 on the main drive, and I'm up and running. For some reason, this time it never generated that new folder, so that was giving me the error.

    What's peculiar is that NOW that it's running OK, when I go into the Processes folder the T'bird.exe is sitting there in plain view for everyone to see. IT WAS NOT there before.

    So, now what I'm going to do, is a LOONG process of installing my latest version of Outlook, since that's the only client that Windows Live will import from, then import everything from T'bird into Outlook, then turn right around and import from Outlook into WinLive...WHEW!

    Those guys must REALLY, REALLY hate each other to be THAT incompatible.
