I was forced to power-off after a BSoD. Once the system was back up again, I found that the taskbar had moved from horizontal across the bottom (its usual/default place) to vertical down the left, with the Start button at the top left of the screen. I have not found any option to let me put it back on the bottom. How can I do this, or is there a freeware program that can?

Drag it back to the bottom. Click on a blank spot of the taskbar and while holding the mouse button down, drag the cursor to the bottom of the screen, then release the mouse button. Close or minimize any windows you have open before doing it.
