I have a task scheuled to run daily that takes about 3 hours. I set the "Stop the task if it runs longer than:" setting to 4 hours. However, I get this in the history log:

Information 12/18/2013 1:00:00 PM 129 Created Task Process Info
Information 12/18/2013 3:00:00 PM 329 Task stopping due to timeout reached

    Details:
    Info 8b4c8af5-27c9-460c-bc56-bdf1602246cd
Task Scheduler terminated "{8b4c8af5-27c9-460c-bc56-bdf1602246cd}" instance of the "\TT2CDETS Sync" task due to exceeding the time allocated for execution, as configured in the task definition.

    Information 12/18/2013 3:00:00 PM 111 Task terminated Termination 8b4c8af5-27c9-460c-bc56-bdf1602246cd

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Do you maybe need to use the Wake the computer to run this task?

Also - guess it's safe to say that it isn't a laptop that might be running on batteries...

Have you tried increasing the number of hours on the Stop the task part?

The task runs as you can see from the history so the wake parameter is already set properly.

    Your guess is correct.

It runs from 1PM to 3PM, 2 hours, at which time it is terminated due to the timeout setting which, as I said, is set to 4 hours.
