Windows Vista Task Manager

    My Task Manager only shows the panel with Image name/user name/cpu/memory/description. The close "x" and other panels are not there. What happened to it and can i somehow get it fixed. System restore does not help. i still don't know how it got to this point but at least i can use the end process button to do just that. Then i use the right click on taskbar icon to close it.:eek::confused:

    Task Manager has two different views. To see the view that includes menus and tabs, double-click the border of the Task Manager window. To switch back to the view without menus and tabs, double-click anywhere in the border around the tabs.
