    Task Manager Problem
    ---------------------
    When I use the 3-Finger-Salute (Ctrl+Alt+Del) or Right-Click Taskbar + Task Manager, the Task Manager option is not enabled, greyed out ... I cant force close programs or check procedures or anything. and i use that feature extensively... How can I re-enable it. (BTW I am logged in as the Administrator when I have this problem my other accounts are fine... I use adminitrator frequently though so I need this option...)

    sounds to me like you got a policy in place. check your local security policy.

    Try this

    You can find good tips about Rwindows in www.ntfaq.com;

    Try to do this:

    Open the REGEDIT

    Go to key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\windows\currentversion\Policies\System

    And verify if exist a DWORD Value called DisableTaskMgr, if exist set to 0 or delete this.

    Exit REGEDIT and try to open Taskmanager

    Regards,

    ;)

    o_XuXa - good idea. And welcome to you.

    The original poster said (in another thread) that he has fixed the problem (wasn't too specific as to how though) using policy manager I think.
