I have a very unhappy family member.

Plus I am getting bored and need to start something again. LOL

He was making some changes and/or fixing and got things working to his liking.

A day or two later he called me for ideas as to what happend. Most of his changes were gone and some things did not even work.

    I asked him one question.

After you got things set to your liking did you shut down and restart System Restore.. He said no ! Why do you ask ?

My simple answer was " to prevent what just happened to you." Which was, somebody did not know about the changes he had made and thought somethings was wrong and did a System Restore.

System Restore and some other backups are a lot alike. They are only as good as they are kept up to date.

Once you get things set to your liking MAKE NEW ones.
