Resolved System Restore file location

    Can anyone tell me where System Restore stores the restore point information
    folder/file name, ect?

    It is located in the C: drive, in a folder called System Volume Information.

    NB: You need to enable viewing of hidden and operating system files in folder options to be able to view this folder, and even then you will not be able to access it without, I know, 'giving yourself permission.'

    EDIT: If you want to do a System Restore then use the System Restore utility included in Windows.
