System Restore Application Failure

    When I click on System Tools\System Restore, I get the following message: "System Restore Application has encountered a problem and needs to close ". Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

    A corrupt restore point will do that and pretty well render the others useless in most cases.

    Unless you have a need to roll back to an earlier restore point right now, turn off SR, reboot, turn it back on. That will clear all the existing restore points.

    As a side note, we are seeing some instances where Norton is causing SR issues so it would help to know if you run it.
