    Hello all,

I recently built my new machine and after working ferverishly I have most of the bugs worked out, but I noticed something strange. I saved some settings in bios and had my Asus driver CD in and when XP gets to the welcom window it just goes back to rebooting.

I have checked all my settings and nothing is amis in bios, allthough I did disable the floppy and the DVD drive in the boot sequence so that it just looks for the Master HDD. Could this be causing this strange but annoying problem?

    Regards,
    FIREDANCER

    Hello FireDancer,

Does the cd spin up? Do the lights on the drive light up?

This may be from having drivers on the cd. Easy enough to test, use a cd with say audio/video files on it.

If Autoplay is on this may also have something to do with it.

The obvious, you have tried w/o the cd in the drive?

    Regards - Charles
