system hang ups

    some where there was a post on a windows update that was causing hang ups in system does any one know the update # it was ? because i had this same problem before removed it and it was fine wife did updates and it's back slow as a snail.....................................thanks

    The update you probably have in mind is 811493 - the April release slowed many PC's to a crawl, but the May re-release was OK.

    Did your better half update via Windows Update? Should not be a problem with that patch if installed since end May.
