Occasionally while I am running programs or doing things online the system freezes and I have to do a manual restart. The instances of occurence are not related, in other words it doesn't always happen on the same sites or the same programs. This event occurs about 2 or 3 times a week.

I have the following:

WindowsXP Version 2002 Service Packe 2
Intel Celeron Processor 2.40GHz
1.50GB of RAM.

I am running an Apache server ver 2.0.55 and I host a site with several sub sites. I also have eTrust anti-Virus, Microsoft AntiSpyware and Spybot Search and Destroy running. I also have Zone Alarm Pro firewall ver 6.1.737.

I was hoping that someone can give me an idea of what may be causing this problem and if there was some way I could correct it.

I appreciate any help at all.

Any information in your event logs (Start > Run > eventvwr.msc)?

Hello Sfantasia,

If looking in the event viewer offers no clue:

You have several resident programs running: Microsoft AntiSpyware and Spybot Search and Destroy.

Start troubleshooting by shutting down one or the other, may be conflicting.

If its not those two, then you may have to shut down processes one at a time to narrow it down.

Regards - Charles
