   Every time I try to open certain games the
   computer shuts down. I have disabled the video card, ran system works, plus registry first aid, it still happens. Any
   ideas on what the cause is.

   You'll have to post more information.
   
   Look in the Event Logs (Start > Run type eventvwr.msc, pressOK). Look under Application and System for items marked Error, and post the ones you think are related to the crash here.
   
   You can copy them to the clipboard by double clicking the error event, which openes a window containing a "copy" button.
