I noticed recently that my clock was slow, so I tried to do a manual reset online and I keep getting an error message, and it will not connect with the correct places.
The only thing I can think of is that something I have installed in Firefox could be blocking this action, for I have the XP firewall turned off and am using the Firefox instead.
Possibly the internal battery is getting weak also?
    Thanks,
    Rob

    Rob,
your theory is far-fetched. I know that extentions can affect the program itself, but anything else. As for the way you are trying to reset it, why online? I right click the clock area, and select adjust time, online or not.
I, really, don't understand what you are trying to do.
There is also an utility to set the time automatically.

    Rob,

Are you implying that you are not using any Firewall? Firefox is not a firewall. You could be leaving your system open for all kinds of baddies.

I did not catch that one, so there is even less understanding that I thought.

When I noticed the clock was slow I simply right clicked the time clock and it popped up a window with the information adjust date/time; then you get the internet time option, which I chose and used the update now selection. From there it processes and then I get the error message "the peer is unreachable ".
Thinking that possibly my firewall was blocking the action, I turned it off temporarily to see if that changed anything...no change, so I reset the firewall.
Thanks for the link to the Atomic Clock
    Rob
