    hey. out of nowhere the following processes showed up on my task manager and their processes won't terminate:

    winupd.exe
    SysAi.exe
    WToolsA.exe
    WSup.exe
    WToolsS.exe

    i'm running XP Pro. any help would be appreciated. Thanks...Jack

    Welcome to the BBS jack86, :)

    You have a combination of Viri and spyware. Update your AV programme and do a full system scan.
    Download and install Spybot and Ad-aware. Run the update for both before using, and run each one, after the other deleting all they find.

    For more info put these .exe files in a search engine and you'll find a lot of info on them.

    See my sig for downloads of these programmes. If you have no AV then suggest AVG 6.0 free edition, also below. Update it on line after install as well.

    You also need to visit Windows Update. Install all criticals offered. Then post a new HJT log and we'll help you finish cleaning up.
