For some reason lately I haven't been able to play any midi files. Instead there's an error message that says: "SynthCore error: The SynthCore license is invalid. "
Does anyone here know what that means & how to resolve it?
    Thanks in advance!

The article advised me to remove/uninstall SoundMax which is integral to my sound system & came installed with my Compaq. This is a radical & unacceptable solution to the problem - though I appreciate your help, ARIE, I need another solution. Thanks for taking the time to research & respond to my problem. Any more ideas? Anybody?

(By the way I've tried downloading other players & that didn't resolve the problem; hope that piece of info helps toward getting results.)

Again, thanks - in advance - for the help!
