A mail provider will give POP3 only, no IMAP4. Is it possible to synchronize my mail between computers using Thunderbird -- either by LAN or by sneakernet?

MozillaZine - Synchronizing mail on two computers (Thunderbird)
Above link will provide a number of solutions. Naturally IMAP is simplest solution. Their are free IMAP email providers which can be used in TB, I have two along with my primary ISP/POP and a Gmail/POP. The Synching Thunder program suggestion maybe a solution. If you try it out, many here would be interested in how well it worked out for you.

I just finished using Synching Thunder. No problems at all.

I got the .msi-only download and intalled it on the Win2000 system. I already had my home directory on the Linux system mapped to a network drive. Then I found the two folders and let it go, and make it a favorite for next time.

Just read directions and watch what you're doing.

I already knew my Java was working correctly. But if anyone else has any doubts, just go to the Java Test Page. You probably need a 1.5.0 version to use Synching Thunder.
