Symantec NetDriver Monitor

    Hi every1!

    2/3 days ago, after running the Symantec LiveUpdate feature to update my NAV2002 virus definitions, casually checking the "System Configuration Utility" (MSCONFIG) Startup Tab I found listed this new item:

    Symantec NetDriver Monitor C:\PROGRA~1\SYMANTEC\LIVEUP~1\SNDMON.EXE

    SNDMon.EXE is "Symantec Security Drivers Install Monitor" and seems to be a NEW module but does any1 know what stuff it is? do we really need this to run at startup? :confused:

    My Win98SE OS is running very well indeed...just don't like extra useless stuff in my startup to slow-down my system if i can avoid it! :cool:
