I have Nortons Antivirus CE edition 7.6.
When I click the live update button, it opens the next window then just hangs.. I've already upgraded the Live update file to v1.9.
I have a win2000 pro Pc with a Comcast Modem connection.

How can I get the liveupdate to work.

What kind of firewall are you using? Is it set to allow Norton unrestricted access? If you are sure you have Norton configured right, and you are sure you have an active internet connection, try unplugging the modem, uninstall Norton, reboot, reinstall Norton, reboot and turn the modem on, reboot and try again. My NIS 2003 automatically connects to LU everytime I boot, and sometimes it connects just because. Norton is the only thing on my system that has permission to do whatever it wants to, whenever it wants to.

BTW, Symantec is experimenting with some copy protection technology "to reduce piracy ". Maybe, for some reason, your computer isn't able to confirm its subscription status with the server. You say you have a Corporate Edition? You could check with your system administrator, or if that's you, call Symantec directly. (Don't email them- it's a waste of time- right, Christer?)

Let us know what you figure out.

    Fixed Problem

I've replaced network cards and the connection went fast. Also needed to disable my nortons 2001 firewall and it went fine. So I've purchased the 2003 firewall and everything is fine again.

    Thanks for your suggestions.
