    Hi ezragoh7!
    Welcome to the forum.
    Several things need checking.
First, what is the make and model number of the computer? How much memory (RAM) is there? What security have you (firewall, antivirus, antispyware, etc.)

Meanwhile, go to msconfig (just type it into a run window - start/run) and disable all, reboot, and see the result. If by chance, the cpu is back to normal, add the items back one at a time to find the culprit.

Orherwise, re-enable them, except for any you don't need running in the background using valuable CPU cycles. Then download and run the kaspersky online scan and let us know if it finds anything.

    Also download and install winpatrol.exe.

Perhaps it's a Windows Update problem. I used to get this issue on my laptop and I found an article on it on Microsoft's site. I downloaded the hotfix and it worked. But I think now that fix is in the normal windows update. Run windows update and see if you still get the problem.
