Suspicious/Unknown item on taskbar

Recently I noticed an addition to my taskbar..It looks like 2 very small monitors (1 underneath the other) in the background and a large capital "R" in the foreground. Last week I left my PC on overnight then in the morning the screen saver was "frozen" Upon rebooting this new addition to my taskbar was there. When you hover the mouse over it, it gives the IP address of PC. When you right clik it gives "current connections ". When you launch this a box comes up with "Current connections" again and inside this box "No connections" I have looked at the last few programs I have installed - maybe it is part of these. Last installed program was "Kazaa Lite" v2.0.2 Any help is greatly appreciated...OS is W2K. Thanks.

 

Well - the double monitor thing is perfectly normal if you have your network connection set to show when connected (local area connection~right-click-properties).

But the R is a new one on me.

Do you run spybot and ad-aware? If so, have they found any critters that may be it?

 

I understand the double monitor is there for the network connection; but this is in addition to this. Also the monitors are much smaller, if that makes sense. I have run a scan on SpybotS&D and also using Adware6 and nothing to date.
