    Verizon talked me into a smartphone. I do not use half the garbage on the thing anyway. It's pretty intimidating when an inanimate object is smarter than the user. In this case me. I should have kept my dumbphone.

    I'll just hang on to my "talk only" Tracfone at $9.50 a month. I could text but haven't taken the trouble to set it up - and don't plan to.
