Hi there, quite new to this so don't really know where to start.

Basically, I have this wireless network problem on a Windows Vista Home Premium Acer Aspire 5735 Laptop. A few days ago the network was working properly with no problems, but now when trying to connect to the same home network, it gives the message at the bottom right "Limited Access ", so internet access is not even possible. (This is using the Windows network setup). Tried system restore, but nothing seemed to work and the wireless network is still on limited access. Is this a fault of the laptop? When calling up BT, they tested the lines and said there was no problem win the connection. The router has been untouched as well, so the only conclusion I'm getting is that it's the fault with the laptop?

If anyone could help me on this, it'd be really grateful. This is something really strange and has never happened before.

    HCT.

Hi hct, Welcome to WindowsBBS. When you click on Networks icon in Right side Task bar, do you get window with General - Support showing?
If you click on Support you can click on Repair and see if that helps. Neil.

At the first sign of trouble reboot the router as a first step.

10 to 1 its interference from a neighbors signal drifting in
change the channel in your router
make sure that your router is high and not cluttered with junk around or even on top of it
you may have to move the router over even a foot or so
    standard problems with wi fi
