When ever I print from Vista through to my home network printer there is a printer icon in the notification tray ( 1- documents pending ). This is fine but the icon remains after the print job is completed, I cannot remove it. Checked awaiting documents and nothing is there at all. The only way I can remove this is to re start my notebook.

I using Vista Home Premium. on a Dell Inspiron 1545.

    Thanks for your help

    Jeff

I doubt there's much we can do. Only suggestion I have is to check if there is an updated printer driver available.

I believe you can kill the Print Spool service & then restart it.

Thanks for the replies. Allthough the driver did install while networking the printer its an older HP pre XP too so maybe thats causing a conflict.
