Tried searching this forum as I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem but since updating to IE7, I can't play streaming video such as from a TV news website. I'm pretty sure it's a security setting but don't want to lower below medium. Using IE& along with xp home. Tried with and without Zonealarm. I uninstalled ie7 once before and had no trouble with ie6. Thanks for any help. Ted

Are you behind a router? Dialup, DSL, Cable, Satellite or what?

I'm hardwired to a linksys router, as I mentioned had no trouble with IE6. Shutting down Zonealarm made no difference. Shutting down Avast made no difference either. Thanks for the response

Any error message come up? If you right click on where the Video is supposed to be, what does it say? Flash, WMP or what?

I open fox news and click on video, another window opens and in left corner there is a screen, says free video player but nothing happens, I think there is a security issue blocking it. Someone else posted a bunch of links, will go through them and see if I can find an answer, thanks all. Oh, there is no error message, just nothing happens.

What I meant was that while Opera is one of the 8 browsers I have on my pc, it is not my regular browser, but I usualy just open it when I want to play some embetted vids. Of course, I'm sure the other browsers would play them ok if I fiddled arounf and made some adjustments in the settings, but I figure why bother when I know Opera will play them, as is.

Well, does that mean Opera is less secure then? I don't know what IE is blocking that I can't play in 7 what I could play in 6.
