Got a question. Everytime I open IE6 I get this strange new error message: Error message:
    "whaimager:
Run-time error '9'; Subscript out of range. "

Anyone ever run into this? What is it & how do I get rid of it? It isn't interfering with anything; it's just annoying. Any ideas?
    Any response would be appreciated!

    Hi Glad2bHear
What if you were to open a web page, go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced -scroll down and put a check in "disable script debugging." Does that stop it?

    Hi Daizy,
Thanks for responding. No; unfortunately I tried that & it didn't help. Any more ideas?

Glad2bHear--I can find nothing by searching www.google.com for "whaimager ".
    Did you spell that correctly?
Have you installed any new programs just before the problem started?
Have you run a scan with your antivirus program with updated virus definitions? A scan with a spyware detection program like Ad-Aware or Spybot S&D could be useful, too.

Glad2bHear--Yes, there is the reference you posted as of this PM. The dreaded Whazit!! It was not there this AM or when you first posted. Good that you have learned to use www.google.com!! :)
There seem to be a couple of solutions in that reference. Have you tried them? One involves editing your Registry. "Comment from jerelw Date: 06/17/2003 06:50AM PDT
fyi - I started removing registry entries and found that each entry refrerenced another entry and another entry, and so on.
It took about a day, but the pop ups are gone. My computer is noticably faster, too. "
You see some people suggest using SpywareBlaster.

I cannot remember whether it works after the fact.
Something else to try is Hijack This

Glad2BHear--Thanks for posting back. Good to learn what worked.
I presume you have a spyware detector and now also have SpywareBlaster. All offer some defense again Whazit. SpywareBlaster can stop it sometimes before it can enter your HD. The other two detect it after the infection.
