My computer powered down when I was in Netscape. Now all my folder titles are gone...inbox...sent...trash etc. The folder graphic is still there as well as the message count, just no printing. My mail functions still work fine. Everything is ok with the mail under my daughter's profile also. I use the classic skin and thought changing back to the modern skin might help but no luck. I'd like to avoid creating a new profile if possible.

If anyone has any ideas your input would be greatly appreciated. I can forward a screen shot if it would help.

    Thanks

    Gad

    Welcome to the Forum, GadZooks!

    Hi Gad,

A Windows crash/shutdown can often cause a corruption problem with Netscape Files.

Here are a few workarounds for you to try:

    Go to your Mail Preferences:
Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings | Server Settings

    Disable: Empty Trash on Exit

    Close Netscape:
    Open Windows Explorer
Browse to the Mail Account Folder
    (OS Profile Locations)
Delete all files with an MSF extension Do NOT delete any files WITHOUT the MSF extension.

Locate your <profile>/chrome Folder and delete it, ONLY the /chrome Folder, NOT the profile.

    Open Netscape
Are your Mail Folders visible now?

If none of the above prove to be a solution, then this most likely is pointing to a profile corruption. As a last resort, Create New Profiles and see if the problem remains.

    Ramona :D
