Recently I noticed in my top level "owner" files a curious folder labelled <.kchmviewer> which is a very odd name for a folder because it's only a file extension. It holds two files - a config and a help file.

Thinking it might be something that had been introduced by an installation I later removed I followed my usual trick of renaming it to see if anything was affected, and I called it <XXX.kchmviewer>. No error messages have appeared so I am about to delete it - BUT does anyone know what on earth this folder is for, and can I safely delete it? I tried returning it to its original name but the system refused because it didn't have a file name!!!
