    Just checking -

Going to comcast to check my e-mails, i always get another screen that
tells me my firefox 22 is out of date and offers to update it.

But when i use the help, about firefox, menu, it tells me that firefox is up to date....

Don't know if its a virus, or what.
    Anyone tried this ?

    thanks,

Have you tried a scan with Malwarebytes and with Norton NPE to make sure you have no malware?

did my virus checks - mbam and mse both clean.

I never did try the update offer so my sys is clean. just wondering if
anyone applied that update and what kind of results there was from it.

i only update firefox from mozilla's site.

    thanks for the feedback.

OK. I would suggest you have Malware as it sounds like a scam. Might pay to Post in the Malware Forum and see if Broni thinks it is. Neil.

    Thanks for all the feedback.

No, i'm not infected, all scans (mbam, sas, mse) all show nothing besides,
i didn't run the suggested FF update. just thought it was strange that
mozilla says i'm up-to-date and something in comcast says i'm not
    up-to-date.

    only curious....

    thanks,

The Windows method just copies the screen to the clipboard. Then you have to paste it into a program with which you can save it as an image file.

Instead, there are plenty of free screen capture programs with built-in editors, some of which will even let you capture a scrolling window. Two I use are Picpick and DuckCapture.

When you've saved the image you want to upload to the BBS, be sure that you're composing your post in the Advanced, rather than the Quick Reply, window. At the bottom of the screen, under Additional Options, you'll find a button for Manage Attachments. After that, it's pretty self-explanatory.

Note: Only BBS subscribers can post screenshots.
