I have a curiosity question to ask and hope I can ask the right questions without confusing anyone, including myself!

Here's the deal. My step-daughter uses MSN for her mail. Her mother uses Yahoo as an address. I use my local cable modem as an address. When my step-daughter receives mail from her mother (forwards from several forwards) her MSN shows them all as attatchments, but toward the bottom of her mail the actual letter will show. Now, when she forwards that letter to me I get ALL the forwards as attachments instead of the actual letter. I think AOL works the same way. She can't figure out how to just send the original letter without all those attachments. Is this an AOL/MSN thing? When I forward mail to people I do it from the original page and then just delete all the trash before sending. Is there a way to clean up all those attachments without doing the copy/paste thing? If there are cute graphics with the mail then you lose it all with the copy/paste mode. Does any of this have to do with web based mail clients vs. pop accounts, or am I just confused on these terms?

Any clues will be greatly appreciated.

    :)

Yes. AOL and others will auto send forwarded messages as attachments. Is there any way to rapidly clean this up? Yes. I use the DELETE button! I don't bother with them. However, there are some fried's messages that I want, so I have instructed them NOT to send me forwarded messages and to only use BCC, e.g I make THEM do the tidying up if they want me to read the message!

Tell them that by using BCC the message will be sent without all of the headers and visible addresses that will eventually end up on spammers' lists.

Good point. I forgot about that. When I send mail I ONLY use the BCC line. I'll pass this info on and we'll see what happens.

Every once in a while I send a 'netiquette' letter out to everyone on my list.
