Normally I would contact verizon and talk to them... but their tech support is horrible.
Here is the problem-- my DSL connection will disconnect at seemingly random times while I'm on the comp- after the disconnect I have to completely restart the comp to get the connection up again. I am pretty sure the problem isn't on verizon's side and rather something with my comp. Is there a type of spyware that gives the modem problems? I have a huge lag spike (with games) before the disconnect-- it will spike then return to normal for about 5 seconds- then disconnect completely. The ready light on my modem starts blinking and I have to restart my comp. While restarting the ready light on the modem blinks at an increasing pace until it stops at a solid green...

I am pretty sure this problem has something to do with my comp, not verizon, simply because it works properly when I restart my comp (until my it disconnects again). Can anyone help?

    Thanks, Tom

Ok I think I fixed the problem. :)
The reason I posted this was because I thought the problem was somewhere in the modem or the computer- since the disconnects would be fixed when I restarted the computer.
Well if I have the problem again I'll post back.
If anyone knows why I had this problem please speak up :D .
